Multi-stage Infant seat – your LiteClik30 RXT SafePlus is perfect for a newborn and intended for use from 4 lbs. to 30 lbs., or up to 30 inches.
Automotive grade high-strength steel – We took our famous Radian steel core and adapted it for an infant car seat to offer the best protection for your child on the journey ahead.
SafePlus Engineering – Our steel anti-rebound bar reduces rebound rotation and requires use of the top-tether for an ultra-safe install for your little one.
Quick and simple installation with confidence – Two bubble indicators and a two-position leveling foot system help you ensure a proper angle.
Premium LATCH connectors and EasyPath belt lock off – Ensure your infant car seat installation is secure. Can also be installed with an adult passenger seat belt in situations where you don’t have a base installed, such as in a ride-share vehicle or taxi.

High-Quality and Safe, But Lacks a Stroller Option
We tested the Diono LiteClik 30 RXT SafePlus Infant Car Seat at the hospital, and it passed the safety test with no issues. It’s a great option for the price, made with high-quality materials, and also has a really nice design. The only thing we missed was a compatible stroller (travel system) to make it easier to get around with the baby.

    Love this carseat
I was skeptical at first since I never heard of this brand, but since buying it I absolutely love this carseat and trust this brand for my baby boy. Its got plenty of cushion for him and the base was perfect not too bulky. The straps are adjustable for his age and its very easy to use with the rubber button. Plus the color is super cute.

Worst Car Seat I Have Ever Seen
I have never seen an infant car seat so poorly designed. This thing is awful. My husband says it was easy to install the base. That’s all it has going for it. A new seat has already been ordered to replace this one and baby isn’t even a week old. This thing has some serious safety issues and I’m stunned it hasn’t been recalled yet. (I’m a mom of 10 and a women’s health nurse, so I’ve been around dozens of car seats!)The “infant insert” has zero instructions in the booklet. You need to look it up online how to use it. It is the wonkiest system I’ve ever seen. Essentially, it has a couple “booster” pillows that lift baby up to the proper height for the shoulder straps to be at a safe location height wise. You cannot use this seat without these booster pillows. They make a weird little shelf that baby sits on. It makes the seat fit super oddly. Because of where that makes the leg straps fall, baby can just pull their legs up (as newborns do) and their legs are out of the seat belt. (And yes, it was tightened properly. It is just how the angle of their legs hits the straps across the hips because of the weird booster pillows.)The chest clip is a little too wide and makes the straps too wide for newborn shoulders. If you pull the chest clip up to the armpits, as you should, the width of the chest clip holds the straps off the baby’s narrow shoulders. There is no way around this. The flimsy shoulder strap covers don’t help at all with this issue. The headrest isn’t removable in any way. There isn’t enough side or back padding, so when you have a newborn, it holds the baby’s head forward at an awkward angle and baby’s head will flop forward. Even with the seat in the base at the correct level, it doesn’t properly recline the baby. This seat is not safe in any way. I do not recommend anyone buy it. If it is given to you for free, I still wouldn’t use it!

Excellent infant car seat, easy installation. Minor upgrade over the XT model.
I actually own 2 other car seats: the Chicco KeyFit 30 and the Diono LiteClik30 XT. The Chicco KeyFit30 is a fairly well-known and well-tested car seat. This car seat is actually quite similar and feels high quality. This LiteClik30 RXT is near identical to the LiteClik30 XT model, with the only difference being that this RXT model has non-rethread harnesses while the XT model uses rethread harnesses. In fact, the base this car seat seem to be meant for either XT or RXT models. As such, the review for the RXT is near identical to my review for the XT.Car Seat 5/5:The car seat itself is great. The cushioning is plentiful, especially if you are using the infant insert. This is what you’d find in a more premium car seat, as the cheaper car seats tend to have very thin cushions. The seat itself has easy-to-use straps that loosen/tightening like most car seats. It’s also very lightweight (without the base) and easy to carry. While it feels premium, there are some things that can be better. The handle has some wiggle in the top position, which the KeyFit30 did not. And the handle and sunshade get in the way of each other.Sunshade 4/5:For the most part, it’s actually quite good. It pulls forward quite a bit, giving your infant full coverage. This is more than the KeyFit offers. However, deploying it causes some clicking sounds, which is not great if you are trying not to wake up the baby.Base 4.5/5:The base itself is easy to adjust, has an attached anti-rebound bar (some KeyFit version have one). It comes with LATCH connectors attached to the bottom that are easily deployed. It comes with a bubble level. All of these things are important because one of the most important safety components of a car seat is that they are easy to install. Both the LATCH and seat belt install options are easy to use, especially with the blue seatbelt clamp component. It is rather narrow compared the height once the car seat is in place, which is why some may say it wobbles. But if you fasten the seat belt tightly AND use the top tether, there should be very limited movement.Installation 5/5:As mentioned in the base part, it’s key that the installation portion is simple. This really can’t get much simpler. The base comes with the LATCH connectors, which are excellent. The LATCH connectors are locking and require you to pull the red string to unlock. Compare this to some cheaper J-hook LATCH connectors that don’t lock. If you choose the seatbelt install, it just loops into the blue portion that then clamps down on the seat. No routing of the seatbelt oddly through the seat/base.Comfort 5/5:My daughter is on the higher end of the weight spectrum for this car seat. But she fits and she seems comfortable in the car seat.Docking/Removing 5/5:The car seat snaps into the base easily and reliably. To release it, the lever is on the base (unlike KeyFit, which is on the seat) and the car seat pulls right up. When attached, it feels like a solid unit.Overall, this is an excellent premium car seat. There are some minor issues that don’t affect function and safety.

So far our family loves this seat, it’s easy to install and I like the extra security of the top tether. The seat has a wedge insert to help keep baby in a more upright position instead of sinking into the seat, I really enjoy that feature as I’m not worried about my infant not being properly supported airway wise and seems to be more comfortable for them. Would recommend if you are on the fence to purchase or not ! Only con is my husband finds the handle uncomfortable for carrying!

There are things I love about this car seat and things that I find very annoying and baffling. It’s beautiful, better head support for our newborn. Easy to use and install. What I don’t love: it’s heavy; the handle is awkwardly shaped and makes it harder to carry; the seat is a bit wide and does not fit easily in shopping carts; when I take my baby out it falls over which seems very dangerous.
