Better Than Any Other Stacker!!
I love this so much! I actually got 2, one for my daughter and one for my husband’s cousin’s daughter. It is so much nicer than the cheap plastic ones and they don’t sing unnecessary and annoying songs like some stackers I’ve seen. These are just the right size and are so cute too! One of the features that I appreciate the most is that the stick that you stack onto is a straight stick. With some stackers, the sticks are cone-shaped and the size of the hole on each ring is different. That doesn’t allow the child to put the smaller rings on the bottom. Basically, with those stackers, you can only stack the rings in the exact right order. This one isn’t like that though! You can stack the rings in any order that you want which is definitely better for development because it gives them the chance to just practice stacking before they figure out the sizes and colors. I also wanted to comment on the recommended age because it is 18+ months. That is kind of ridiculous for this toy. Actually, I always have that problem with Melissa and Doug, but it isn’t a big deal because their toys are so awesome and you can make your own judgment calls on what toys are appropriate for your children at different ages and stages. I’m sure 18 months is approximately when most children are able to easily and effectively stack the rings in the right order…but that doesn’t mean you should wait until then to get them this. My daughter is 8 months old and loves this thing! She can just play with the pieces and watch us and her older brother stack until she is able to. For now, she prefers unstacking and that is fine too and is also an important part of her development. The quality of these pieces is fantastic and I strongly recommend this over any other stacker.

Great product, smaller than expected (read measurements)
I absolutely love all of there Melissa & Doug products. I gave this product 4/5 stars because of the size- it is much smaller than I expected/wanted, however the description states the size (which I didn’t pay attention to when purchasing). I got it for my 12 month old who loves it. I have listed my findings below.SIZE: When I measured the size I found that it was about 8.25″ in height when stacked and the base is 3.5″ by 3.5″. The top ball piece is about 2″ in diameter. The smallest circle (orange) is about 1.75″ wide and the largest (purple) is about 3″ wide.FEATURES: The description states that it has a rocking base, but mine doesn’t “rock” like the comparable plastic Fisher Price toy. It is made of wood and painted. I have not had any chipping paint, but my daughter hasn’t started chewing it yet so we will see how that holds up.CONCERNS:- Potential chipping of the paint (which hasn’t occurred) and about the stick on the base when the rings are not stacked.- Long wooden stick base: I feel like if my child were holding this and fell, it could be dangerous. For this reason, I always am there supervising her when she plays with it.BOTTOM LINE: I like it and I would still purchase it even with my concerns. The paint has held up and hasn’t chipped. It is smaller, but my daughter still likes it and the small size takes up less room with all her toys. I love the simplicity and durability of wooden toys, and this item is well made and I have not had any issues with it so far.

Wood Stacking Toy
Great educational and hands on toy for babies. The wood is solid and great quality and so far no issues with the paint. The colors are nice and bright. The pieces fit together well and it is easy to use and play with. Great toy for the price. Easy to wipe down and sanitize as well. Super happy with this for my baby!
