Absolutely Wonderful – Must Have Toy!
I purchased this for my 14 month old son. He is a climber and I wanted to get him something safe to play on inside the house. The first day I set it up he learned how to slide on his own and he always claps his hands in excitement when he reaches the floor. This was so simple to put together. I had the majority of it assembled within five minutes. The periscope does take a little time to put together but it is really easy to do. I am very impressed with the quality and how everything locks into place. You could easily take the slide off, back the unit against a wall and use it as a fort. One of my concerns was the roof being too low but for now my son fits under it just fine. I don’t think it would be hard to find a way to raise the roof when he gets too tall for it in the future as I believe he will be using this toy for years to come. I know some reviewers said they don’t like the steep steps. My son has no trouble at all climbing them, plus it is a great space-saving design! You don’t have steps protruding out as far as the slide like some similar toys. The slide itself is also nice and tall, so when he slides it isn’t like his feet immediately hit the ground. The other thing I really like is that the platform is nice and roomy. He has plenty of room to move around and when he gets a little older will be great for make-believe play. The unit is also nice and sturdy, even with my rough young one playing on it. I do not have to worry about it tipping over. Some of the other similar items I looked at were rather wobbly. The colors of the unit work well for indoor use. If you have an active climber like my son, I highly recommend the Step2 Treehouse! This is one item that has greatly exceeded my expectations (thus why this is my longest review yet)!

Great slide for us
We needed something nice for him to climb on indoor for my 2 year old son that’s almost 3 feet tall, think we’ve only had it for a month, and already got our moneys worth because he plays on it everyday. I’m sure he’ll play on it for at least another 2 years. I like the natural colors, not an eye sore at all, and quality from step 2. Easy to put together, took husband, and I about 10 minutes. Nice size slide, even our cats love it.

Easiest Thing I’ve Ever Assembled
We bought this toy for our sixteen month old. Right out of the box, it has been a great toy. All you need is a phillips screwdrive to put it together, and that’s only for the periscope assembly and to attach the roof so your todler can’t push it off. The rest of the assembly does not require any tools, takes about five minutes, and produces a nice, solid structure for your toddler’s play.Our toddler loves playing on it, too. I thought he’d just go use the ladder and the slide, but he also likes to play with the periscope — even using it as it was intended. We can’t seem to get him to use the slide in any manner other than head first. However, the slide is just long and steep enough to be fun for him but not so much that he is at any risk for injury. Right now, we have it in his play area inside but will probably move it outside in the spring when the weather is nicer.In summary: this slide seems safe and durable, and our toddler loves it.

Great for the puppy play area….non-standard use!
Most of the breeders I know have these types of structures in their puppy yards and when it came time for me to add the first puppy I’ve had in over 12 years, I started looking for something similar. Without success at second-hand stores, I started looking for new items. I wanted a slide, a raised platform and steps that were accessible for puppies. When introducing a new puppy to the pack, having a hidey-hole type area (eg. under the platform) available is also useful if the puppy gets overwhelmed at any time and so I chose this structure. It was relatively easy to snap together and I made it into 2 structures….slide/platform/steps and assembled the tree house portion without connecting the two. The screws that attach the tree house top needed to be forced through the plastic and that was hard, but otherwise, it was simple to put this together. The puppy can’t negotiate the steps but he is almost able to go UP the slide area. Even the big dogs (adult Siberian husky and Australian shepherd) are enjoying playing king/queen of the hill on the platform. It’s pretty sturdy, but I’d prefer a different configuration of steps and pre-drilled holes for the screws. I did ignore the periscope. All in all, a success!

This is absolutely perfect for my two year old daughter that likes to climb up on everything that is way too high for her. It gives her something that she can climb and play on and I don’t have to worry too much. It is large enough to last through until her younger brother will grow out of it but small enough that injuries are unlikely. She loves this toy and I am so happy that we made this purchase. When we were initially assembling it I was very worried about it being stable enough but after you get all the pieces together it is perfect. It does not shake or shift at all when she is on it and it is very sturdy. The pieces all snap into each other for easy assembly and then just a few screws. We kept in our living room for a couple of days initially because it was too cold and she threw a blanket over it and made it a fort.

Bigger than it looks. Helped make a boring yard into a fun garden.
Believe it or not I ordered this accidently but kept it. It became my daughter’s birthday present. In the summer I put it in our garden and the kids love it. I was afraid that it would be too small but it’s a good size even for a 5 year old. The first day I put it up my kids and the neighbor kids were all playing on it from ages 2 to 8 and it didn’t ever feel too young. I was nervous at first about 5 kids on it at the same time but it was stable and safe and they had a really good time. It’s very easy to set up and take down and it’s light but strong. My kids have pretended it’s a tree house to a pirate ship to a time machine. It’s small enough to be used in a large room during colder weather. I am very glad I accidently ordered this because it’s helped make our small backyard into a garden that the kids love playing in.
