Great substitution for Diaper Genie
Not a large trash can by any means,but my baby’s diapers aren’t large so we can fit quite a few in there (15 or more) before we need to empty. I probably empty it every 1.5 days, sometimes more, sometimes less. It is made of metal, and sturdy. Its a trash can, obviously, but not necessarily an eyesore. I never notice smells leaking from it (of course when you open the lid it can smell but other than that, just sitting in my room it doesn’t, and my baby has had some crazy full diapers so it is effective at keeping smells contained). The trash bag roll holder on the side is easy to attach and to refill with another roll of small garbage bags, which I just got at Family Dollar in a pinch. Much more cost effective for me than buying a Diaper Genie and having to buy the special bags for that; so assuming you keep up with this one, I think it works great for parents with wee ones.

Overall rating: 3/5The design and finish are good, but the claim about eliminating odors is simply not true. At the end of the day, it works just like any other trash can. It looks decent and feels sturdy, but don’t expect any real odor control.

I think this is a decent diaper bin, but there are some considerations to take into account. The powder coating was scuffed on the top of mine. Not bad enough to merit a return but visible in most lighting. The outer metal shell is very thin. The exterior deflects a lot when picked up by squeezing the sides. Mine arrived with one small dent on the front face. The inner plastic pail is water tight up to the vent hole at the top edge, and it includes a nice metal wire carry handle. The pedal, lid, and soft close are all nice and work as intended. The back bracket is a carry handle and a vent, so I don’t know where they get off claiming this seals in odors. Personally I wouldn’t want a sealed container that traps the moisture along with the bacteria and smell, but that is how they are advertising this. I would say this is more like a larger version of any standard bathroom trash can with soft close, pedal activated lid; and the removable inner pail. Overall a nice product that serves its intended purpose at a reasonable price.
