Comfortable, unique pump that works really well for me
I’ve been inducing lactation, which has involved a lot of trial and error when it comes to finding what my body responds to. I’ve used multiple pumps, and this one truly stands out.The biggest difference for me is how this pump feels compared to traditional pumps. Instead of feeling very strong or mechanical, it feels much more gentle and natural. I’ve found that I’m more relaxed while using it, which has made a noticeable difference in my pumping sessions.I also consistently get better output with this pump, which has been really important for me. Comfort and effectiveness don’t always go hand in hand, but with this one I feel like I’m getting both.Another feature I really appreciate is the adjustable silicone shield. It fits a range of sizes, so you don’t have to purchase multiple flange sizes, which can add up quickly. It’s also helpful since sizing can change over time.The pump itself is quiet, easy to use, and feels very well made. Room for growth
There’s potential. Wouldn’t recommend. Better off waiting for the next model or some other brand.1. Not easy to clean. Many nooks and crannies. Too many corners and odd shapes.2. Doesn’t dry in time before next session. Will need at least an additional 2 sets to have parts ready for the next session.3. Not for sensitive skin. The flange causes so much itchiness and irritation on the breast during and after.4. Too large and heavy. It’s as big as a portable hairdryer but heavier. Adds weight to the already heavy breasts. Doesn’t really become hands free.5. Noisy. The motor for the tongue in the flange is so close to the ear it becomes deafening.6. Assembly is one step too many. The bottle secures the suction from the pump to the flange.7. Cannot pump directly into a milk bag.8. Too many unique shapes. Cannot interchange with off brands or other pumps such as bottles, flange or duckbills.9. Massaging is not easy. Unable to massage during session, causes unlatching of the flange.10. Cannot change suction pace. Can only change the tongue speed and suction strength. Would like to change the pace to a long and slow instead of short and fast with various suction strength.

A Game-Changer of a Machine
Makes pumping super simple and a breeze. Inducing lactation for me had always been a chore before using Annabella. Between manual stimulation and massages, it was a hassle and we had limited results. Now with the Annabella automatic breast pump and tongue simulator, it feels much more natural and intuitive to what an actual feeding session would be. After positioning the breast shield and turning on the machine, the process feels relaxing and calming. Still working on training my endocrine system to increase its prolactin, but I have no doubt that with continued use, I will be able to produce at least several ounces. (I’m planning on co-nursing with my partner.) After using it for a few days, I actually look forward to the next session, because it is that rewarding of an experience–you have to try it for yourself!Pro-tips: Get comfy and listen to some guided nursing meditations while using it. Stay hydrated also. You’ll get more out of the experience, trust me.
