Easy to adjust, not space saving though
This high chair is both feature rich and also cumbersome. It does have a charming pink seat insert made of washable synthetic fabric & plush polyfil. But we’ve already needed to sun it with blueberry stains threatening to remain. I get that this seat is designed to be the safest place for baby from infancy through the toddler years but I need it to also save some space!The biggest feature of this chair is its six adjustable height settings. Some of us are 6’ and even sitting we need a higher setting to feed baby easier. This flexibility doesn’t just save your back, it allows our grandson to engage at eye level. He’s less likely to stare off and ignore his food or whoever else is near if he can make eye contact. I’m amused this seat holds a stated 265 lbs. I won’t be testing that!The pink seat insert isn’t just a pop of color.. it’s plush and hugs the child. I wish some of the bigger kid/baby companies could get on board with this notion too. The soft padding provides support that helps babies & kids be comfortable. Why is that important? Kids who aren’t comfortable will wiggle and protest. The insert is wipeable, washable, and can be sprayed with oxiclean to pretreat before tossing in the wash. It’s kind of a water-resistant material that makes for an easier to clean padding and little makes it to the actual chair. The aesthetic is clean, and while the chair is white, they both have been easy to clean. I don’t have space to test if the tray components are dishwasher safe or not. I always have dishes and not enough room. It’s also real easy to just wipe down the tray and seat and allow all to air dry.Safety is built into the design with a secure 5 point harness system(better than our Antilop from IKEA) and while bulky as a chair it’s sturdy and tip-resistant frame. If you’ve never moved a high chair, some scoot easy and others clunk and dare to tip. When dinner is over, the chair’s bulkiness keeps the floor space for itself. It does have quite the footprint for something I anticipated being able to fold up.

It is sturdy and I really like the snap-on tray cover.My grandson loves this high chair as well. It is roomy and comfortable for him.The only downside is that it is a little hard to clean the joints where it folds up. Regardless, this high chair is quality.I wouldn’t hesitate to order it, again, or give it as a gift.Original (3star):Not nearly as “space-saving” as I had hoped.I have another brand of foldable high chair, which folds up quite compactly but the material used isn’t waterproof and cannot be washed in a washing machine due to the seat having particle board in it. One diaper malfunction caused a huge issue, so I have been looking for a different one that is easier to clean and maintain.I came across this one from PipNest so I thought I’d give it a try.I really like the removable tray cover. Much easier to handle while cleaning than the whole tray, plus I can just throw it in the dishwasher. I like the PU leather since it’s waterproof. No more accidents soaking through material and into particle board.However, this one doesn’t fold up much. The old high chair basically folded over itself to be half the height and closed up tightly taking up minimal space and easily fitting in a vehicle to take to a restaurant. I should’ve paid more attention to the listing as it has no pictures of the high chair in its folded state (at time of order and review). I probably wouldn’t have chosen it.So, while this high chair does fold up, I think I would describe it as folded to move out of the way while doing housework, not folded to store or transport.Yes, this high chair will be put to use. No, it will not be toted around like the last one was. So, all in all, I’m still looking for a foldable high chair that can be stored out of the way or easily transported to go out to dinner.
