Great toy
My 14 m old loves this toy! It is great quality for the price, and seems very durable, however the coins are a little bit smaller than I️ anticipated. This toy is a fun way to work in fine motor skills and my daughter loves opening and closing the little drawer.

Hallelujah for Hush-Hush Fun
As a mom on a quest to entertain my toddler without resorting to screens or those shriek-inducing, blinking, and buzzing toys from the seventh circle of toy hell, I stumbled upon the Montessori Coin Box. Let me tell you, it’s like a hallelujah moment wrapped in wood.First off, no loud noises, folks! This is not your typical toddler toy that sounds like a spaceship preparing for takeoff. The Montessori Coin Box embraces the sweet sound of silence, or at least as close as you can get with a toddler around. When those wooden coins drop into the box, it’s like a symphony of tranquility. The design? Oh, it’s pure woodsy goodness. No retina-searing, neon-bright colors here. Just a simple, rustic wooden box with classic wooden coins. It’s so pretty that it doesn’t get banished to the toy box dungeon when playtime is over. Nope, this gem earns a spot on my living room shelf, adding a touch of sophistication to the chaos. Now, onto the real magic – toddler engagement. This Montessori marvel keeps my little one entranced for longer than a sitcom episode (yes, I’ve timed it). Watching those tiny hands drop coins into slots may not sound thrilling, but trust me, it’s a toddler’s version of a high-stakes casino operation. The Montessori Coin Box is like a secret weapon in the mom arsenal of sanity-saving toys. It’s quiet, stylish, and strangely captivating. If you’re on the hunt for a toddler diversion that won’t assault your ears or your eyes, and might just buy you enough time to enjoy a lukewarm cup of coffee, this wooden wonder is your answer.

Adorable and Engaging, but Not Without Safety Concerns
I recently bought this coin drop toy for my 1-year-old daughter, and while it has some great qualities, it also comes with a few concerns. First, it’s undeniably cute and aesthetically pleasing. The soft, natural colors fit perfectly into our playroom, which I try to keep minimal and aligned with our family’s focus on more natural, wooden toys. My daughter was immediately drawn to it, and I could tell it was engaging her in a way that’s so important for her development at this stage. Watching her concentrate on fitting the coins into the slot was rewarding, and it’s clear that this toy supports hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills. That said, I was surprised and a little concerned about the size of the coins. They’re small enough that my daughter was able to fit an entire coin into her mouth, which made me uneasy given that it’s marketed specifically for 1-year-olds. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting her play with it unsupervised because of this. For parents with kids who still explore the world by putting things in their mouths, this is definitely something to consider. In terms of quality, it’s fine—neither exceptional nor cheap. The materials feel solid enough to withstand regular play, but it’s not the kind of toy that screams heirloom quality. For the price, I’d say it’s fair, but I do wish there was a little more thought put into ensuring it’s truly safe for younger toddlers. Overall, it’s a sweet and functional toy that serves its purpose well, but I’d recommend it with some caution, especially if your little one is still in the mouthing phase.

Some Coins Don’t Fit
Great product! My only beef is that half of the coins don’t fit through the slot. I can sand the slot, though.

Fun. Multi use play
Use it with coins or to hide small toys for older babies to discover.
