Practical and ultra economical.
The color-coded screen (green, orange, red) is excellent for identifying a fever at a glance, especially at night. In addition, it allows you to save up to 32 readings in memory, which is very useful for monitoring the evolution of a disease. As it is a front thermometer (infrared), the accuracy may vary slightly depending on the distance and sweat on the skin.

I tested the Rongfeng No-Touch Forehead Thermometer several times to check for consistency and ease of use. Overall, it’s a solid, budget friendly tool for the home medicine cabinet, though it does have a slight “offset” to keep in mind. While many infrared thermometers give “random” jumping numbers, this one is remarkably consistent. Even if the reading feels a little off, it doesn’t fluctuate wildly between scans, which gives me more confidence in the hardware. The backlit 3 color system (Green/Orange/Red) is fantastic for middle of the night checks. You don’t have to squint or do mental math to know if there’s a fever the screen color tells you instantly. It also provides a reading in about a second. For the price point, it feels sturdy and well made. It doesn’t feel like a cheap toy, and the buttons have a responsive click. I like that it has an “Object” mode. It’s handy for checking the surface temperature of milk or bathwater without needing a separate device. In my testing, the forehead readings consistently registered a bit lower than a traditional oral thermometer. Because it is consistent, you can account for this, but it’s something to be aware of you might want to “calibrate” it against your known baseline temperature. If you are looking for a fast, non-contact option for quick screenings at home, this is a great value. It’s easy to read and easy to use. Just be aware that it might trend slightly lower than your actual internal temperature.

Great value for a very accurate and reliable infrared thermometer
I ordered the NO TOUCH FOREHEAD INFRARED THERMOMETER by Rong Feng Medical. I was in need of a new thermometer because one of mine recently broke. I’ve never had a no touch forehead thermometer so I was interested in giving one a try. The cost of this item was low which gave me even more incentive to get this particular thermometer.This is actually a great thermometer. It’s very accurate and very consistent. I tested my temperature about 10 times over the course of a night, and the readings stayed steady between 97.2–97.3°F. That’s great reliability!Forehead temps usually run about 0.5 to 1.0°F lower than oral readings. I compared it with my trusted oral thermometer, which read 98.4°F, so this my readings were only slightly off by 0.1 degrees. This was far better accuracy than I expected. I also tested the room temperature feature, and it was spot on at 68°F, which exactly matches my thermostat setting in the house.I really like that this thermometer can measure both body temperature and surface/room temperature. It makes it more versatile and useful than a standard thermometer. I alsolove the memory function. It stores the last 30 readings. You can scroll through past readings easily by pressing the down button immediately after taking a temperature reading. The thermometer is also incredibly fast. You get a reading in about one second. This is far better than waiting as your temperature increases on a traditional oral thermometer. The temperature display is bright and easy to see. The color-coded display is helpful as well. The display turns green for normal, orange for slight fever, and red for high fever.The thermometer is very easy to use. Just note that the instructions recommend waiting about 10 minutes after inserting the batteries before taking a reading to ensure accuracy. Also, if it hasn’t been used in a while, it will read the room temperature first when turned on.My only concern about this thermometer is the toggle switch used to switch between body and surface modes. Mine does not move well and gets stuck in the middle. I think the toggle switch is the weakest part of this thermometer and the most likely to break with use.I had a few reservations ordering this thermometer given the lower price. I’m happy to report just how pleasantly surprised I am with the performance. It really exceeded my expectations.
