My Favorite Baby Monitor
We’ve been using the Owlet camera since bringing our baby home, and overall it’s been a really reassuring addition to our routine—especially during those early newborn weeks when you’re constantly checking to make sure everything is okay.The video quality is clear both day and night, and the night vision is especially helpful for those middle-of-the-night check-ins without having to turn on lights. I love that it streams directly to my phone, so I can peek in from anywhere without disturbing the baby. The wide-angle view and zoom make it easy to see everything in the crib, which gives a lot of peace of mind.One of the standout features is the notifications. The camera alerts you to sound, motion, or crying, so you don’t feel like you have to constantly watch the screen. It’s nice to be able to step away and still feel connected. The two-way audio is also a sweet touch—you can talk to your baby or soothe them without rushing into the room right away. ()That said, it’s not completely perfect. Like many Wi-Fi monitors, it can occasionally be a little finicky with connectivity, especially if your internet isn’t strong. Some users mention needing to reset or reconnect from time to time, which can be frustrating when you just want a quick check-in.Overall, the Owlet camera has given us a sense of comfort and convenience that’s hard to put a price on. Worst cam ever!- don’t buy
Poor connection, poor QC, totally trash. It cannot work even an hour. I have to re-login, I have to re-paring, I have to re-wifi connect three times within an hour. Sound is ridiculously loud. It should be installed at baby’s sleeping room!!!! I am saying again, this is totally trash. Don’t waste your precious money and time.

Not compatible with public wifi
I travel a lot, and needed a video monitor that I could access remotely. You need to be connected to the WiFi that the monitor is, and it doesn’t work with public wifi. I was severely disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to use it in the hotel (what I purchased it for), but I bought a travel router that I then duplicated my phone’s IP address to, and it works! I believe the router was $17 open box? I wish that information had been available beforehand, as I was very nervous to do “technological” troubleshooting. The notifications in a small space are very annoying if you don’t turn the camera off outside of nap time (my phone will notify me every time my baby yells, and the monitor then records and saves a clip of an empty nursery.) It struggled a little bit getting set up (detection issues), but no issues since. The stand is VERY steady!! The mounting clips (for the cables, to keep them stuck to the wall away from baby hands) just use adhesive and do not stick to our walls (oak paneling painted with matte Ben Moore paint.) It has been so much fun seeing what my baby does after she goes to sleep, and it has eased our mind after we transitioned to using a floor bed.

Amazing Camera!!!!
UPDATE to my review. All in all the camera still works decent. HOWEVER, it does like to randomly cut off the sound and video in the app. I have woken up several nights where the sound was off and the screen was “loading”….couldn’t hear baby, couldn’t see baby…..thats a big problem for me. Then there has been several times where the camera itself has frozen or refused to connect and I had to reset it. Additionally, sometimes the night vision doesnt switch over properly, that also doesn’t help either. So there are most definitely some glitches with this camera…..and for the price, especially if you buy the sock…..I would expect it to NOT do those things. Its still way better than a Vtech though!I should have went with this camera the first time. We started with a Vtec….it was horrible…could barely make out the baby etc. So, I finally caved and bought just the dream sight camera. It comes with a 2k UHD camera that also allows you to lower the pixels depending on your internet connection. I can clearly see my baby both day and night. This camera is 100% worth it. I know some have made negative reviews about these cameras but so far this is amazing. The functionality is great, it seems to be decently durable for a camera, the camera plugs directly into the wall so it is not battery operated, and it was super easy to install and set up, the design is also really functional and can sit on a shelf or hang securly on the wall. Ill do another update in a month or two if it ends up having issues….but as of now I 100% recommend this camera!!!!!

We love our dream camera! It was very easy to pair in the app and get all set up. It gives such great peace of mind when baby transitions to their crib with amazing features like tracking room humidity and temperature alerting you when the room becomes too uncomfortable for baby. You can change the settings to what you want it to pick up from noises to motions and also captures video moments during alert. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and very clear! Love that it plugs into the wall so you don’t have to worry about charging a battery and constantly worry about what the battery life is at and comes with covers to tuck away the cord and hide it. Definitely worth its value and for the peace of mind it gives!

This one was the easiest to set up, very quick and simple. It connected within a minute, the size is perfect the wide angle of camera is amazing. The battery lasts pretty good. For the money I paid, it is a great camera.

I absolutely love using the owl sock, and adding this camera to it was just the cherry on top. It is so convenient to be able to look on my phone and check the baby and see their heart rate and oxygen levels right on the screen. It actually does pick up the cry detection as well, because I check the videos from the night prior, and there will be saved clips with the baby crying and me grabbing her. The video and audio are both clear as well. The price point is perfect too! I did initially have some issues setting it up, but the button on the back to reset it was really helpful. I held that, waited for the chime, and then it blinked, red and blue, which means that it is in pairing mode. I had to do that a few times before it worked, but besides that there’s been no issues!

Nous utilisons la chaussette Owlet depuis de nombreuses années sans aucun problème, mais la caméra est catastrophique. Elle se déconnecte du Wifi de nombreuses fois par jour, il faut la reconnecter de 0 pour qu’elle se remette à fonctionner. Sur une caméra à ce prix, ça n’est pas acceptable.

I wanted to love this camera so badly since I also have the owlet sock. Unfortunately the video quality was not great, and tho my wifi router was just in the next room, I encountered wifi connection errors often, which led to video lag. I do love that it connects via an app (super easy to use), connects to the owlet sock, offers picture-in-picture, and doesn’t require a stand; can be installed directly into the wall (and provides everything you need to install it into the wall).

I’ve tried everything I can. I restarted my router, disconnected everything from the wifi, reset the camera a million times and it still will not connect for me. I am very disappointed.
