Good product
This is thinner plastic but does a great job keeping out all light. This product was easy to install and Im sure will be easy to remove. Renter friendly. Its ok to get one a little larger than your window as its thin plastic you can cut to size.

Simple and effective
Trying to make an office out of a third floor room and need all the help I can keeping it cool. Cut to size easily, stuck the Velcro attachers and sun blocked. Does it’s job.

Little to no light bleed with some help
Good for the price.I have “hanging blackout curtains” with these “velcro curtains” underneath them to prevent daylight, and light spill. It works great, though you will need to staple the velcro onto the sheet to keep it from pealing off. There 1st picture is what it looks like with 5 pm, full strength, Texas-setting-sun hitting the window directly. The 2nd picture shows what is outside my window at night; a tremendous amount of light pollution. The 3rd picture is what it looks like with without the “hanging curtain” drawn at night. With the “hanging curtain” drawn, there is no light bleed.

Excellent sun blocking product, some issue with glue on velcro pieces
I bought 2 panels to use on a large living room window. I hung them about a week ago and the glue on one panel separated from the velcro pieces after about 5 days. I am assuming due to the intense heat, as this window gets hot Florida sun all afternoon. The point of these is to block out the sun and heat, so I was expecting better glue quality for the stick-on velcro. That being said, I used some Gorilla glue to re-attach the velcro pieces back onto the curtains, so hopefully that will hold. Overall, the install itself was easy, and they provide excellent sun and heat blocking.

Best curtains!
These are the best blackout curtains! They completely block the sun and when we attach to the window, the are secure and stay up!!

Quite messy looking…..
These do block out the light. Unfortunately, its not a nice, smooth piece of fabric as the picture implies. It comes folded, so when installed, it looks horrible from the outside.I’m using it in an attic window and may just take it down if it doesn’t smooth out because it looks so bad from the outside!

Works better than I thought
Amazing! This is a great option if you have too much sun coming in the windows. I’ve never used this type of product but I’m impressed.I moved into a house in southern California with no insulation and the sun blasts through the living room windows. I waited until today to leave this review because the high is 94 today. Usually by this time (86 degrees) my house is hotter then outside, even when I keep my regular shades down. When you pass the windows, you can feel heat then it gets trapped in my house. Not today! We cut it to fit directly on the glass so we can still open the windows on cool days. 86 outside right now, my house is usually about 90 degrees by now. Since it’s going to be hot today I shut all of the windows and shades in the morning before the heat came through, I have 1 side window in the shade that I opened and put a fan in and with this reflective window cover my house is only adding 73 degrees instead of 90. Sturdy material. The velcro works great, sleek black color really helps keep the room cool. Easy to use and worth every penny!

Blocks light, but doesn’t stick to anything.
The title say it all really. As blackout curtains it’s great. But to work the curtain needs to stick to the frame around your window to function. It comes with velcro pads that have a velcro side and an adhesive side along with instructions that are close to an exact copy of ‘command strips’.I cleaned my wall, let it dry, and carefully applied each pad and then stuck the curtain on the other side. In theory it’s great because you can still take the curtain down by disconnecting the velcro, then re-connecting at night when you need the room dark.In practice, it’s awful. The curtain itself resists adhesives. So the pads, which are already a very weak adhesive, can’t *grip* it to hold it up.Nor can they grip a wall it seems.Every day the curtain flops off my wall and I have to stick it up again.I’ve even tried adding things like double-sided tape all around it to help the pads. But tape can’t stick to this curtain either. So I tried taping all around with normal tape reasoning that maybe only the reflective side is anti-adhesive. Nope. The black side won’t let anything stick either.Maybe if I used synplex nails and nailed the curtain to the wall it would stay, but that involves hammering a dozen nails in my wall, an action this product is meant to AVOID.All in all, it’s a nice idea, but the product’s own design utterly defeats its intended purpose. Don’t buy this product. At least not from this company, maybe some other manufacturer understands you can’t use non-stick pan coating on a curtain that requires adhesive to stay in place. But this one sure doesn’t.With that in mind, I’d give it zero stars if I could.
