Product Good, Fulfillment Needs Improving
Product is a great size compared to our diaper genie and much easier to use. Would highly recommend this product given it is a wider pail, holds scent well and just seems to be a well designed product. The capacity is great given the short height as it is much easier to store than other competitor pails which have a much higher clearance and flip open tops which make spacing even more challenging. Outside of that the functionality is great as it isn’t that much different than a normal trash and the only real learning curve is making sure the lid is shut.The only star I am taking off is due to the actual order itself. I was able to get a credit via Amazon to correct the pricing but had ordered a sage green bin at a slightly higher price and was given the generic white version. Rather than shipping it back I just asked for a credit for difference so Amazon corrected the problem but still wasn’t ideal having to reach out in the first place.

Got rid of diaper genie
I had been given a diaper genie from a friend. Within 1 week of bringing home baby, my husband insisted the diaper genie was broken and asked me to get something different. The issue with the genie were numerous but the main was the genie was wobbly when trying to pull the bags out, and the bags often tore when replacing.This has solved both problems! Because it’s metal and heavier than the plastic genie, it is sturdier. Additionally, because you can use regular trash bags, we haven’t had any issues with the bags tearing. This is one of my favorite aspects bc it’s 1 less thing to purchase. The capacity also appears to be slightly more. Overall the capacity of diapers on both is somewhat disappointing, as we have to empty it 2-3x a week, and only do about half the diaper changes in the nursery. Although I get the impression we may be going through more diapers on a daily basis than average.I would mention that we have nearly overstuffed it a few times, and I’ve been nervous about ripping the bag. However, if it’s over stuffed, I’ll just tie the bag, and the reach down between can and bag and move some of the diapers up. (The bags we use are always larger than the can since we use the same ones I buy for our kitchen trash.)I have also been very impressed with the smell. We didn’t have the diaper genie long enough for me to comment on smell but I noticed the other day how well this works to keep the smell in, when I opened it to put in a dirty diaper and was overwhelmed by the stink inside! When properly closed you don’t smell anything! However, you will be subject to that stink when changing out the bags.Lastly, I love that it came in colors. The safe green looks adorable in the woodland themed nursery. Being able to get a color was basically just a bonus that put this diaper bin over the top. Would buy again and recommend to friends.

I have gifted 2 of these Ubbi diaper pails to my daughter and daughter in law. 5 yrs ago I bought one of these pails for my daughter who had it on her registry I did a lot of research on the pails and Ubbi came up every time and the best part you use your own kitchen garbage bags. I have used this first hand babysitting the grandkids it’s easy to slide the top open even when holding a baby and I like that the top can be locked the top has a slow closing lid so no one gets these hands or fingers pinched. It’s also easy to empty and insert another bag my daughter used scented bags. After my second granddaughter came my daughter loved it so much she purchased a second one they still use one to this day. Excellent pail well worth the price and did I mention that bag removal is a snap easy. Enter today my daughter in law is expecting so I picked her up this wonderful pail I couldn’t say enough good things about it so she picked out the sage green for the babies nursery she loves the look and with a dog the fact that it locks will be a game changer it also doesn’t take up a lot of space and looks sleek and modern. It’s made out of metal so it’s made to last.

Pros & Cons A must read
I purchased this Ubbi pail for cat litter waste and here is the results.Pros :The pail is thin and compact and holds a lot of waste. Pretty color and looks nice. Uses regular bags and easy to operate. Lid opening is small which is better to not release a huge amount of stink. It’s almost hard to break the only thing you have to worry about is dings and rust. Being metal it doesn’t absorb stink like plastic can.Cons: You will get a small bit of stink when lid is open while that is common, it says to only use a rag to clean it and after you can still smell stink. So rather hard to clean to get smell off of it. If I’m just using a rag how is that going to clean it ?It can rust. If any contents you put inside are damp it will rust, you need damp rid or silica gel packs inside to absorb any moisture! The opening is small, while it’s great stink wise , it could be a litter bigger to accommodate adult diapers or other uses as for pets. I had to get a skimmer for a pet scoop something small enough to fit. The slide door under can get dirty & hard to clean.Overall it’s good. Definitely not perfect and far from it . It does require maintenance so it’s not maintenance free.I chose this one before the pet version because the pet version while it has a bigger opening it Doesn’t have the slide opening like this one.I use a magnetic hook with a opening teabag ball filled with silica packets to absorb moisture. I also hang a car air freshener inside .But overall I give it a 4. It could last years if you care for it weekly.

Der Windeleimer ist einfach super. Keine Gerüche die aus dem Plastik permanent nach außen dringen kein klemmender Deckel und vorallem kann man ganz normale Müllbeutel benutzen.

Contains smell well as long as you put the bag in correctly (I was confused at first about how to use the circle thing inside). Awesome we can use the same bags as we use in the kitchen trash. Looks nice too and seems like it will last a very long time without getting rusty! With our three month old we have to take it out every three days or so.

The only gripe I have with it is that it isn’t taller. I propped it up on a box to lift it up. (I wrote to the company directly to say it is something customers would want.) I would have liked it to be at the hight of a changing table or a dresser. Other than that it is perfect. I love that you can use whatever trash bag you have without having to buy a specific bag that only works for their trash can (like a subscription you end up paying more for them in the long run). It is a higher cost upfront for this can compared to others but you save money down the line by using your own trash bags. When the lid is closed the smell is blocked off completely. Easy to open and close and easy to clean.
