Great puzzle, good value
Cute, fun, and sturdy puzzle for our toddler. She loves making the noises to accompany each rescue vehicle. The pieces are easy to fit into the spots and the knobs ensure they can’t be put in backward. Good value for the price.

Good Quality Product
I almost didn’t buy this product because of the negative reviews. The puzzle I ordered came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. The pieces and frame are made of thick wood and all of the pieces have knobs, not like in the picture. I called Melissa and Doug because I was concerned about the negative reviews. They told me that the pictures are not painted, but they have a high quality laminate on top. The pieces are not made to get wet, but they shouldn’t fall apart if a little moist sometimes. In my opinion, a one year old should be doing puzzles with supervision so they can learn how to do a puzzle. The pieces should not be used as a chew or sucking toy for a long period of time. Even solid wood will warp if put in mouth and chewed on for a while. One year olds do like to put everything in their mouths though. My grandson did put the piece in his mouth for a few seconds a few times, and the piece did not start to fall apart. The knobs are solid wood and my grandson prefers to put the knobs in his mouth rather than the piece itself. It’s reassuring to know that the knobs are screwed, not glued, so I don’t have to worry about them falling off. I highly recommend this product. Just use it with supervision and don’t allow your child to use the pieces as chewing or sucking toys.

Great puzzle for little hands and young children to learn how puzzles work. Knobs are big and easy to pick up the pieces.

Well made
This is a quality puzzle that entertains my grandson continuously. Easy for little hands to grasp. He prefers to empty the puzzle out and carry around the pieces or throw them and say “uh oh”, but the puzzle is holding up!

Perfect ot gift
Great gift for young toddlers starting out with puzzles. The knobs are easy to grasp the pieces actually hold up to the toddle slamming. They are easy to “wiggle wiggle” into place. The graphics are cute and not over the top. We love Melissa and Doug for their quality pieces.

Good first puzzle for one year old
Should have bought this when my grandson was 12 months instead of 18 months…it was too easy for him. Really good quality first puzzle
